Impairment of endochondral ossification by Hoxa2 overexpression: a plausible molecular explanation of idiopathic proportionate short stature

Introduction: Using transgenic mice ectopically expressing Hoxa2 all along chondrogenesis, we previously associated the resulting animal phenotype to human idiopathic proportionate short stature.
